  • I really don't know if I am happy or not, and the reason is that I really don't know if the car is fixed and neither do your techs, or Mr. O'Connor or Mr. Lojko. In Feb. I brought the 2003 Impala in with a problem which was assumed to be (because of the computer's listing of the problem) caused by a "module"? which was electronically affiliated with the security system and the ignition (I guess). The actual problem was that sometimes the car simply wouldn't start (It happened 4 times from 2010 until the Februay occurrence). In all 4 situations I called AAA and in the 20 - 30 minutes it took for them to appear, I remained out of the car just waiting for the serviceperson to come. In all of those cases, as soon as I got in the car it started right up before the hood was even raised. So in Feb. it was serviced (quickly, politely, and with phone contact to me at work to keep me attuned to the issues. The bill for this visit was in the $600 range, perhaps $625. All was well for about 2 months until about a week ago when my wife had the same problem with the car.She had to walk home from work - about a mile and a half on a day when she didn't have that kind of extra time. Assuming that the issue must be warranteed in some way, I immediately brought the car back only to find out that any repairs would be on my dime. After dealing with both Mr. Peter Lojko and Mr. Ed O'Connor I got the sense that I'd be better off at Sudbay because these guys really seemed concerned with trying to help us out. So the car had a different code reading having to do with security this time, and that was replaced for roughly the same amount of money. When it's able to be turned on, the car is one we want to keep for many more years (to be driven mostly in the Cape Ann area). But if the problem returns (the problem seeming to me to be that at some times the computer can't read the chip in the key, so the ignition won't turn the car on.) how can we possibly be happy with Chevrolet? The people at Sudbay have been great - I called Mr.O'Connor this morning to report success all weekend with the car, and to thank him for the 15% discount on labor which his "boss" authorized. But I'd be much happier(and more apt to replace our 2009 Town & Country next Feb. with a GM product) if somhow the parent company would take some responsibility for this very aggravating circumstance and guarantee that we will NEVER again have to pay to fix this particular problem. Think of it --- around 1200 bucks because the key might or might not work Thank you for reading my complaint- the whole situation is kind of like assessing the pitcher John Lackey - "he's pretty good, except for the home runs he gives up." Well, my Impala is a great car, IF IT STARTS. Thank you, Dan and Claire Wholley Read More >>

  • WOW! I purchased a new 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab equippped with the allstar package. I had heard that Sudbay Chevy-GMC-Cadillac and Buick has had a great reputation for some time but never experienced it for myself. I live right at the 128/93 interchange in Woburn and thought they were a ways away. Come to find out that Sudbay Automotive is only 25 minutes away. When I arrived I was greeted by Jim Goodhue. Jim didn't pressure me at all (unlike most dealerships). He was honest, straightfoward, extremely knowledgeable about the product and was very patient with me. I'm not always easy to deal with. When it came time to talk money I figured this is where the wonderful experience I was having was going to go sour quickly. I was wrong. They exceeded my expectations in both the pricing and my trade-in value. I didn't even have to go back and forth as I thought for sure that was going to happen. I had done my research and knew the numbers they gave me were more than competitive. That sealed it for me. I did paperwork and was out of there in no time. The staff was friendly and the manager even came over and thanked me for my business. A nice touch. Kudos to Jim Goodhue and the staff at Sudbay Automotive Group. I LOVE MY SILVERADO! Read More >>

  • I already told you my story in this same survey email several days ago. Your salesman Mike Moore and service Mgr. Tim Sullivan are primarily who I dealt with and whom I was thoroughly pleased with and impressed by.I also suggested that Sudbay motors should give careful consideration to giving these guys a raise to ensure they stick around. On the other hand whoever received my previous response to this same three question survey should be spoken to about bothering their customers with questions the already answered !!!! Read More >>

  • The problems are finally resolved on the 2005 Deville The main issue was the shifting of the transmission between 25mph thru 29mph on the vechicle We had brought the Vechicle in for service 3 prior times for the same problem with the Transmission ( shifting ) while the Car was still under Warranty. Now the problem is finally resolved with the shifting of the Transmission with the replacement of the air pump. We are unhappy that this wasn't found before since it would of been covered under our Warranty. Happy that propblem is Finally Resolved with the Transmission Shifting smoothly but not happy that this wasn't Fixed while it was under Warranty and was in Service 3 to 4 times Prior for the Same Issue with the Shifting of the Transmission. • Even though I would never want to buy a Suburban again, I am grateful for the honest answers and practical advice that Ed O'Connor provides each time I have my car serviced. The car has had multiple quirks, and they're not always easy to figure out, but I am glad I have a place like Sudbay to assist in engineering conundrums. Read More >>

  • I purchased the 2013 Buick Encore and the entire process was easy and enjoyable. All of the staff at Sudbay are very friendly and helpful. I purchased my new car from Sudbay because of all the wonderful years that I have been going to Sudbay for routine service on my 2007 Cadillac CTS. They always make you feel like family. Thank you!
